It is a very relaxing and charming place to eat and I can’t recommend it enough. The red cabbage and spaetzle were very good. It’s one of those dishes everyone loves when they eat it but no one wants to take time to make it. My great grandmother who was born and raised in Hamburg Germany made sauerbraten for us when I was a child and eating it at the Black Forest inn brought back very good memories. They all ordered jagerschnitzel and I had sauerbraten and it was all amazing. Our server was very charming and friendly and he was patient with us as we explored the amazing German menu. First I want to thank the employees for being gracious considering the young men I was with were all wearing very casual clothes and they were treated like any other customer so thank you for that. My first impression was that a restaurant that can't sell Coca Cola, or Pepsi, but resorts to RC cola it is in sad shape. Food is still good, BUT outrageously priced for the portions. one can tell that COVID got the best of this restaurant. My previous review was a 4 star rating, food excellent, atmosphere excellent, waitress excellent, only thing wa that the trip was a little pricey.
